Eleven gossip - Meat Loaf has EastEnders role dream
After selling millions of records and garnering critical acclaim for his role in the 1999 hit film Fight Club, Meat Loaf has revealed his latest ambition - to star in EastEnders.
In an interview with The Sun, the Bat Out Of Hell rocker said: "It would be good if I turned up as this guy who dated Dot. Phil gets jealous then we get into this massive brawl."
The larger-than-life singer made his first appearance on British television for a while, popping into The One Show studio last week to chat to hosts Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley about his upcoming projects.
The news comes as former EastEnders favourite Shane Richie revealed he would love to return to the long-running BBC soap.
The 44-year-old actor won a number of awards during his three-year stint as loveable pub landlord Alfie Moon, but EastEnders officials were quick to quash rumours of a possible return.
